Concert Friday April 28th – 7pm, Eurythmy Room.

Welcome back to the Summer Term! We hope you had a lovely Easter and are looking forward to all the fun events this term.

We’re starting off in fine style with a concert for Violin, Viola, Cello and Piano at 7pm this Friday 28th in the Eurythmy Room. This is a rare opportunity to be entertained by such wonderful talent – Robin Ireland, former violist with the celebrated Lindsay String Quartet and Class 11 parent, with Thomas McMahon, cello, and Janine Parsons, piano, parent from Class 4.

Entry is £5 plus a collection. Children are free. The concert is very generously being used to raise funds for Class 11’s trip to Italy. There will be an interval. The first half is about 45 minutes long, the second about 35 minutes.

The programme will feature music by Bach, including the great Chaconne for solo violin, Fauré’s “Apres un Rêve”, and some lighter music in the second half including pieces by Kreisler and Frank Bridge.

For those of you who have heard Robin play you will already know what a treat we’re in for and for those of you haven’t been lucky enough then this is your chance. It’s the perfect way to start your Bank Holiday weekend and we hope to see you there.
