And suddenly the holidays are upon us!
It’s been the usual fun end of term at school. For the last two weeks or so we’ve had Advent assemblies involving all the pupils coming together in a spiral in the Eurythmy Room, creating a really special atmosphere.
Last week the children were delighted by a visit from St Nicholas who handed out festive treats and words of wisdom. Then on Monday we were all treated to a wonderful Play put on by the teachers, three Class 11 pupils and a Stream of Sound octet. It was the perfect blend of humour and solemnity. The evening performance had the added bonus of Christmas carols at the end and there was a lovely feeling of community as everyone sang together. Enormous thanks to all the performers who worked so hard and gave up their precious free time to give us such an enjoyable gift.
We had a delightful festival yesterday with songs, music and eurythmy featuring most of the classes and even three parents from the parent’s eurythmy group. And then today all the pupils gathered for the final assembly during which the candles on the Christmas tree were lit. It felt like the perfect way to end the term.
But the good news is there’s still one more treat to enjoy! The annual Stream of Sound concert is this Saturday 17th at 7.30pm in the hall. Everyone is welcome and it really will put you in the festive mood. You’d be mad to miss it so we look forward to seeing you there.
Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
