The recent Jubilee Concert outside Buckingham Palace has received praise from around the world for its spectacular lighting and images projected directly onto the palace. And right at the heart of the event was freelance lighting expert and ex-Emfield pupil Luke Collins. Luke, son of our very own Mrs Collins, left Elmfield in 2006. He was involved throughout the Concert, including lighting up every “La” in the chorus to Crocodile Rock as Elton John conducted a sing-along backed by giant lyrics on the palace.
17 million people watched the Concert. With the likes of Madness, Elton John and Paul McCartney playing, it was the most watched programme on British TV since the royal wedding last year.
