On Thursday 7th July 7.30pm, there will be a talk on The Potential of Movement for the Developing Child.
This talk follows on from the very well attended talk by Chen Atid, Upper School Science Teacher, on Meeting the Challenges of the 21st Century. Due to demand a second talk has been arranged for this term and will explore how movement can be used directly to help to support the healthy development of the child. The talk will be led by Chen Atid, who was a head of Faculty at Emerson College, the training centre for Waldorf teaching.
Chen will introduce the topic and open the forum to other teachers, to build a background to the movement, eurythmy, games and handwork curriculum. Following the talk there will be ample opportunity for discussion about the issues parents and friends wish to raise around the subject of movement.
