Elmfield meets the "Expected Standard" in all areas
The school was inspected by Ofsted between 19th and 21st May 2026. As the first UK Steiner Waldorf School to be inspected under the rigorous new 2026 framework, we are proud to have met the expected standard in every single category, with elements of "stronger" noted across all areas.
We are delighted that the report highlights our "harmonious, inclusive community" where everyone is respected and "pupils, staff, parents and carers talk about how the school is like a 'big family'." It also concludes that "pupils leave Elmfield with more than a set of qualifications. They are equipped to lead socially active, successful lives and have the confidence to pursue their ambitions.”
